I can't tell you how much I enjoyed photographing this family. They were so much fun, relaxed and easy to work with. Not ALL families are this way and when I do have them, I am VERY thankful. They were celebrating an 80th and 50th birthday all together and had never had a family photo with all of them together. It's these moments I love the most and they are the clients that are ever so grateful in every way. I seriously wanted to adopt them all! The grandma of the bunch was in tears at the thought of having these images taken and it literally gave me tears too! The family session was a surprise to her and it just couldn't have gone better or been more special. I'm sure they will have fun making these into Christmas cards this year where they've never been able to do that before. I'm excited for them!
When contemplating a large family session keep in mind that it's not every day you have the opportunity to get schedules aligned often. If you can make that happen, do it! Take advantage of a session when you can as time has a way of getting away pretty quickly and before you know it, the kids are grown.
